Default Foster's saved my life!

Well, it felt like it, anyhow...

Last Friday on the 29th, my boyfriend of FIVE years and I broke up. (No sympathy please, that's not why I'm typing this) I lived with him, so needless to say on top of being completely heartbroken, I was stressed out about moving and being able to find a place to live by myself. Put simply, I looked very similar to my current avatar for about three days straight.

Then, I was sitting on my mom and dad's couch by myself after having another good cry, and I thought aloud, "What am I going to do now??", and a little voice popped into my head...

"You gotta dance, dance, dance!!!!"

That was the first time I'd even so much as cracked a smile in three days, and while of course I'm doing better now, I'll credit Foster's for being the one to wrap a rope around me and forcefully drag me out of the misery.

Just another reason why Foster's is one of the greatest shows ever... at least in my opinion.

You have my sympathy whether you like it or not. Uh, so there.

You're right about Foster's being a real mood booster, though. Watching the show, Frankie in particular, works wonders when I'm down, whether I'm miserable, angry, or just depressed. It's a real pick-me-up, and it doesn't need a prescription. Greatest show ever? Could be, could very well be.

I have to agree with you there. This show does a body good. When I'm feeling really low, I catch an episode or two of Foster's. No prescription necessary.

LoL! My sympathies towards your predicament, but I'm glad that you found a way through it, and particularly that that way was Fosters.

Aw, well, maybe you don't want sympathy buuut you said nothing about hugs so. *gives digital hug* :]

It's great that Foster's could cheer you up like that, I bet the crew would be proud to know how their show has helped so many people. It really is a great mood booster.

There's been MANY a time this show has given me a much-needed pick-me-up after I get home from school. I had a horrible year last school year, in terms of scheduling and students and supplies-basically everything, really-and Foster's gave me a reason to laugh once I got home and helped me temporarily forget all the mess I was going through at work. Good Wilt Hunting was particularly helpful, since it would give me that "and you thing YOU have it rough" boost, by seeing someone, animated or not, who's overcome far, far more than I have to go through.

Thanks bunches everyone for your thoughts and hugs. I am feeling much better now. I still miss him, but that's to be expected. It could have been worse - I could have come home to find his stuff missing, but he even still wants to be friends, so it's not entirely bad. I mean, at least we aren't not speaking to eachother.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that has thought of Foster's in a bad situation and been helped by it. I'm sure the creators would be proud indeed... and PBL, I actually have thought that this last week... regardless of whether he's animated or not, Wilt's got it way harder than I do!

Thanks again everyone. Hugs back!

I'm glad that you're feeling better about things now, scary_dream. Fosters is definitely wonderful at cheering people up. I know that when I'm down the best medicine is a bagel, a cup of coffee and my Fosters season 1 dvd.
