Unhappy Trouble Signing On

I couldn't sign on yesterday due to the website being down. So today I try to sign on again, username/password then SUBMIT & nothing....
I keep hitting submit & nothing is happening... Is anyone else having a problem getting into the website???

I don't think the site was down, just horribly slow. My son wanted to do his "chores" last night and every time I signed him on the clock would just show 0% and not do anything, after a couple tries it went to 8% and hung up. I kept trying and eventually got through, but then when he went to other floors or outside, the screens loaded very slow. He finally finished his chores and did a favor for a friend and when he was tried to play a game, it hung up at 20% and eventually the game logged him out. I don't know if it was a server problem or if there was just an overload of players. Hopefully this will not be a frequent issue.

I've noticed that same problem - it sits at 0% forever and then starts loading. Most of the time it's during login, but it has happened at other times. Once the clock starts it will say like 238 seconds, sometimes even more.

What I do is I log in and if it's sitting at 0% for more than a few seconds, I just make sure my volume is up and either surf other websites, check this board for any news, or get up and do something else in the room. I just wait until I hear the BFAHP music and I know it's finally logged in. If I don't hear it after a good while and I'm not watching, I'll check and it's timed out, so I try again. I've noticed this the last month at least, and it's really bad between an hour or two after the day reset (midnight Eastern). After about 3 hours, it's not as bad.

It's definitely a widespread occurrence, if you ask me. I was trying out the new stuff, and I've had the same issues. Hopefully, they will be resolved in the near future, if they haven't done so already.

I am having trouble signing on too. It takes like 5 or so minutes; and I'm using DSL!

The only thing I've found that seems to help with signing on is this: Try to sign on, and get timed out. Wait 5-10 minutes (to make sure you're logged out), then try it again. Since the game has loaded, at least partially, once already it seems to load faster the next time and therefore you have a better chance of getting in before getting timed out.

That's the only tip I have.

I usually play my 4 friends back to back, and each one usually takes about 5 min to load, it been this way for months, and I am also on DSL.

I just play spider and review the NF board while I wait. I keep the corner of the screen in the backround since I usually have my sound turned off. for me It always redownloads the whole thing even after it is cached.

That would proboly be your CPU load, as opposed to lag from the connection
