Sight For Sore Eyes / Bloo's Brothers
A Little late, maybe?
This is probably the episode I've seen the least which is a shame because it's one of my favourites. When I saw it the other day Ivan's nervous energy reminded me of a dog, particularly the dog given the power of speech in an episode of Dexter's Laboratory. Bloo's Brothers is one of the funniest episodes and I had to go back through the screengrabs (ta!) after watching it. I think either cylon Bloo or clumbsy Bloo was the best of the Bloos other than No.1 Bloo and the ending sequence with Ivan and the never-ending stream of Bloo's was just Bloo-tastic. Oh man, the thought of that dog brings back tidal waves of nostalgia. "IT'S THE THING! I FOUND THE THING AND THERE IT IS! THE THING!"
Dexter is fun times. Anyways, I kinda found Ivan a little annoying, but I guess he wouldn't be so much if he wasn't freaking out about Stevie. I did, however, love Bloo's Brothers. The Bloo clones were awesome. And the Ice Charades song! I find it hilarious that Bloo had a massive army of clones of himself and the best thing he could think to do with them was sing the Ice Charades song "in 100-part harmony".

Love the episode(s). I loved Ivan. Kevin McDonald did a great job with the role of the character. I hope that the crew brings Ivan back for a least one more episode. He's a fun character to watch. Stevie was brilliant for creating such a naïve, yet amazing friend.
As for Bloo's Brothers; I loved seeing all the different visions of the way Mac's class imagined their Bloo clones. Still, nothing can top the cheap knockoffs of the real deal. These were easily my favorite 11 minute episodes. |

Next time do a search; we already have a thread for these episodes. Merging threads.
Also next time you start a discussion thread please make more of an effort to actually *start* a discussion, okay?

You know, I always thought it was "cupcake one".
ETA: Loved the nickname "Ditchy McAbandonpants". Also perhaps the most times in a single half-hour installment Eduardo has called Bloo Azul. Bottom line: he should do it more often. Last edited by cartman414; 08-16-2007 at 11:41 PM. |

Bloo's Brothers was the very first episode of Foster's that I ever saw! I was flipping channels one day and came across it. Even though I had no idea who the characters were, I stuck around to see if the brown-haired kid ever found his real friend. Then I looked up more episodes on Google Video and watched Foster's on TV ever since.

I really like "Sight for Sore Eyes." It was really sweet. I loved the scene with Wilt, Ed and Coco in the closet, discussing whether or not Bloo ditched them mid-game of Hide and Go Seek: (I can't recall the dialogue exactly, so I'm guessing here...)
COCO: Co co co! WILT: Coco! You should have more faith in Bloo. He would never ditch us. <pause, then royally irritated> He totally ditched us! I'm sorry but what a jerk! You tell 'em, Wilt! I liked the voice of Ivan-- I think it was the same guy who played Pleakley in Lilo and Stitch. The voice had the same high-pitched whine to it. Anyone got any info here? Thanks! |
