Family member in car accident earlier.
Earlier today, I learned that my younger brother was in a car accident. He apparently could not sleep last night, and he felt drowsy behind the wheel. He struck a utility pole in half with wires being everywhere. He survived, but he did get banged up somewhat (I should see him later this week). Since he was at fault, the insurance rate will go up. Last year, my mother was in a wreck (totaled the used minivan that was recently [at the time] purchased], but did not hit a pole. Seems like we don't get a lot of good news within the family.

At least he's OK, like my father, who barely got out of a burning house yesterday. That's what really counts, as bad as it is that he tore up his car and will have to pay higher insurance rates for awhile.

Aw, sorry about that.
My uncle's girlfriend did the same thing last year.

Really sorry to hear about that, once again the only the saving grace is that no serious harm was done and that is always the best possible outcome given the circumstances.

Oh, no! This is horrible, but at least he's okay. My dad's car accident 12 years ago left hijm almost crippled. I'll definitely be praying for your family. Ouch.

That's bad news, I'm really sorry to hear it. I'm glad he's okay though.

Oh crumbs. Hope he's ok. It's a very weird and frightening experience being in a car accident and days later a flashback can make you shake even if you've been lucky and walked away physically undamaged.
Unlucky time for NF member's families it seems.
