I’ve only met relatively famous people. I’ve met someone from a cooking show, but I can’t quite remember his name. I’ve also met Lacey Mosley (five times) as well. She’s so nice. ^_^

Also, have any of you ever heard of the famous photographer, Stanley J. Forman? I’m related to him. He’s my grandmother’s brother. This was the famous picture that he took.

I’m quite surprised that I’m related to someone famous.

For me, it is Alice Cooper. He is often at his restaraunt Cooperstown, in downtown Phoenix. I have seen him there, and I have met him on the golf course (he is an avid golfer), and on the street. And when I see him, he waves at me first (we have seen eachother so many times). He is a very nice guy, and has had a marriage that lasted over thirty years.

Since I am a musician, I do get around: BB King, Chris Squire (of Yes), Rick Wakeman (of Yes), Les Paul, Leo Fender (of Fender guitars before he passed away); I have played bass behind Big Pete Pearson (Blues), and jammed with the lead guitarist of JFA (punk band) at a jamboree on acoustic guitars. I have yet to meet Eric Clapton - THE MAN!

I met BBK at a NAMM show in Chicago (which is no longer the place the show is). I was 15 years old and BBK was showing off his ES-335 Lucille model at the Gibson guitar booth. We talked about the blues, and his jamming with Hendrix. The latest Guitar Player magazine had an interview with Robin Trower at that time (I saw him live at Chicago Soldier Field, and two club performances later).

Other than watching a Wierd Al concert from behind a pole, I don't really remember meeting anyone famous.

In the matter of family relations, my second cousin (or maybe third) is gossip columnist A.J. Benza (one-time host of E! Mysteries and Scandals). I read his autobiography..what an egotist!

My mother before she got married worked for the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency of Los Angeles, where she met H. R. Haldeman and John Ehrlichman before Watergate made them infamous.

One of my professors in college was the voice actor of the mother in the short lived "For Better or For Worse*" animated series...does that count?

(*Based on the For Better or For Worse comic strip that appears in many news papers the world over.)
