During my whole Pres. day vacation, I was staying in a vacation home on the beach. My mom, her boyfriend, and I stayed there. I won't tell you what happened each day, just on Tuesday.

While I was sleeping, he came into my room and threw a punch on the back of my head which made me yell, dashed to the door as if he was just coming in and said "You just had a bad dream."

That morning, he came in my room and grabbed my hair and throbbed me on the pillows. As he left my room he said "You better not tell your mother about this, or else you just might lose her."

I told her in the car ride back to Atlanta. My mom thankfully believed me, and called her mom. She might tell my dad, but she's not sure if it's the right thing to do, so she will ask my therapist.

First, let me express how deeply sorry I am to hear this happened to you. Secondly, let me say to you that you took the right course of action; telling your mother was the best thing you could have done at the time. Hopefully, your mother will stay away from him and, ideally, call the police about him. In fact, if he IS dangerous, her calling the police is a necessity.

I wish I could think of more to say, but I really can't at the moment, unfortunately.

Yeah, that kind of abuse is not right in the slightest, and I certainly admire your courage by telling someone about it. I hope the proper steps are taken to make sure this doesn't happen ever again.

And whatever happens realize this, you have our support 100%.

I am terribly sorry to hear this.

As Nathander and Taranchula stated you did the right thing telling your Mom about this guy. It is horrid that he would be cruel to you like that.

I hope that your Mom decides to stay away from this man as he is an abuser.

We care about you & as Taranchula stated we support you. Please let us know how you're doing.

RF,

This type of abuse is completely UNACCEPTABLE! You did the right thing by telling your mother first. Hopefully, this will be looked into right away! I never understood this kind of behavior...never will. What I do know, is the sooner it is investigated the better.

IF he is dangerous? ANY grown man who would do that to ANYONE, whether a child or an adult, then first LIE about it and claim it was a "bad dream", and later threaten both the victim AND someone close to the victim, even through an implied threat, if the victim tells anyone, is psychotic. There is no question at all whether RFM's mom's boyfriend is dangerous-he IS! There's something horribly mentally wrong with this guy. If he and this woman stay together, it's only a matter of time before he winds up hurting her, seriously.

That's horrible. I'm glad you told your mom and, more importantly, that she believed you. Good luck with everything, I hope she decides to cut all ties with this guy.
