I actually don't generally care for pumpkin cheesecake. Pumpkin and cheesecake are both sacred to me, but I don't like them mixed together.

To me, any cheesecake is good cheesecake!

My parents are cooking because I suck when it comes to culinary arts. I can't even make hard boiled eggs.

I think we're going to have turkey with cranberry sauce, stuffing-from-a-box, mashed potatoes-from-a-bag-just-add-milk-or-water-and-butter, candied yams, store-bought pumpkin pie, and corn (the frozen stuff from the bag.)

Well we just finished eating dinner, and I'm warming the apple pie and pumpkin brown betty in the oven. My dad and uncle between them brought THREE more pies, a cherry pie, a plain chocolate cream pie, and a fancy chocolate turtle cream pie. There's only FOUR of us! They're making me serve all five pies, too, lol.

Oh and my dad brought a green bean casserole, so I just put my fresh green beans away for another day.

We ended up having the classic turkey of course ( so moist and tender)....but did anyone ever have...

1) Sweet potato casserole? OMG THIS IS MANNA FROM HEAVEN.
2) Corn casserole? (THE FORBIDDEN FOOD OF THE GODS.)
3) Flan pie? (We have Spanish people in the family who LOVE to cook....)
4) Pumpkin cheesecake (OH yes Kageri, I know this little sinful delicacy...)
5) Homemade pumpkin pie (OKAY your grandma doesn't make it as good as MY grandma....)
6) Homemade apple pie (repeat)
7) Coconut cream pie (okay that was from the store but it was GOOD)

Well there was more but it just rocked. Oh and beforehand we had a "salad" of sliced avacado and tomotoes....it sounds simple (and it is) but there was some kind of homemade dressing on it and WOW.
I personally worship the avacodo. Seriously, I have a little shrine in my room and I say a prayer thanking the Avacado God every night for his wonderful vegetable. (Or is that a fruit?)

YUM.

I love Thanksgiving.

My mouth watered just by thinking about that salad. Avocados are quite tasty, yes.
