I'm surprised I haven't read any comments from anyone about Frankie's outfit in Fools And Regulations. I don't mean the little black dress; I'm talking about the outfit she took from the scarecrow near the end of the episode:

I thought it looked adorable on her. Always nice to see her in something new, too, even if that something new has been out in the yard on a scarecrow for who knows how long.

Four toes per foot, by the way.
I always thought Frankie was a bit of a redneck at heart - "Swang yer pardner, dosie-do, now promendade..."

She looks comfy in that outfit, as long as I don't think about any hay or dirt that's attached itself to the fabric. I know first hand how comfy overalls are. My mother was obsessed with them while I was growing up.

Speaking of square dancing, I'm now picturing Frankie in one of those square dancing outfits. Ya know, with the thick crinolines and checkered blouses. Ooh, since I'm on vacation, I feel a fan art coming!

Cassini, could you add my name to the birthday card, please?

Also, nice work on the 'Woman of the Year' pic.

Default Believe it or not...

I actually made a comment on that outfit in the actual episode thread, I said something like that if the party was a failure and Foster's did close down, then Frankie could always find work in Branson at a Hee Haw Revival show.

Of course that didn't happen, but the thought of everyone's favorite red head standing in a fake corn field, telling lame jokes and introducing the like of Conway Twitty did bring a small smile across my face.

Mr. McCracken has made an EXCELLENT choice on the girl who does all the chores. My word, my best word to describe Frankie is "heroic".

Now some of you may think she's not really heroic, but what I mean is that she cheers up that mouse in Hiccy Burp. I LOVE THAT SCENE!

Wow, I just realised I've posted on here and haven't shown any real Frankie appreciation yet.

She's my second favourite character after Herriman, and I think this might be because she's more emotionally relatable. While Herriman makes me laugh, I can't actually relate to him. When someone hurts him, it doesn't bother me, and if I ever met him in real life, I probably wouldn't be able to stand him. Frankie, on the other hand, seems like a good friend to have. She's a nice person with a few weaknesses (as seen in "Cookie Dough" and "The buck swaps here" - when I say "weaknesses", I mean things that stop her from being too perfect and therefore unrelatable) and that, in my opinion, is what makes her so great. Also, as Mr Marshmellow said in another thread, she's not given special treatment because she's female.

Another thing about Frankie: she's realistic. She's one of the few female characters I see in animation who actually behaves like a real person. A lot of shows these days seem to make female characters behave either like fashion-obsessed preppy girls obsessed with getting a boyfriend, or don't feature them at all. Frankie's a nice break from that. And because she's more realistic, it's easier to identify with her. She also has the patience of a saint - I could never put up with what she has to go through, especially at the hands of characters like Herriman (whenever they have a confrontation, I always find myself on her side; especially at the end of "Busted"). And yes, I've seen "Imposters" and I hated the way she was treated there; but if I like a character in any show, animated or otherwise, I can be sensitive to the way writers are treating them. Oh, and she has a nice character design, too.

So, yeah; Frankie's awesome. Can you put my name on that birthday card?

Smile Happy birthday, Frankie!

Finished it on the 25th, barely, and promptly fell asleep and forgot to upload it. Comic-Con is hard work.

Happy birthday, my lady, from all of us.
