Imagine if there was a "adult" version of FHFIF
What if McCracken and Faust made a "adult swim" version of FHFIF?
What do you think it would be like? |

I think it would not be Foster's.

Funny in an adult way. (No, I don't watch adult swim, FYI. I'm just saying).

I'm with Cass, 100%.
They already get away with just the right amount of risque stuff(That dissolving lady pen on EC being a perfect example). It would be a TRAVESTY for such great writing and wonderful characters to be undermined by the need to stuff the show with the tasteless crude humor, cynical attitude and excessive fourth-wall breaking that has plagued most of today's "hip and groundbreaking" adult cartoons. |

What I said on the above threads was my lame attempt to be funny. Seriously you are right - it would not be okay, and it would not be Foster's. There is already a cartoon for such a purpose - Drawn Together.

An adult Foster's wouldn't be as popular I think, as this one. What did you have in mind? Frankie talking about 'time of month'? Sexual situations? Swearing? It's really disturbing. There's enough fanfics out there with all this stuff (and more), and that's enough already. I can't or don't want to even speculate about an adult Foster's.

That would be worse than the time we had an irrelevant cutaway gag!
*cutaway* no but seriously that would be most heinous, I like Foster's just the way it is -- smart enough for adults, innocent enough for kids.

If anyone starts giving out "adult" ideas about what the characters might do if it were an adult cartoon this thread will be locked. And since I think that's what the OP wants people to talk about, I don't see the point of this thread. If you all can have a discussion here without adult topics, y'all are more talented than I give you credit for. But seriously, this thread, if really participated in, would violate so many forum rules it isn't even funny. -_-
And considering that Cyburn basically violated the "no topic-only threads" rule by opening the thread but not having either the imagination, patience, or guts to give us an example of what HE thinks the show would be like (which in itself may have violated the rules), I'm locking this thread anyways.
