Tonight was the premiere of "Heroes" on NBC, and though I didn't watch it due to prior engagements, I taped it and am eagerly looking forward to watching it whenever I get around to it.

But it brought up an idea I know won't cause any conflicts and it's obviously the point of: if you could have ANY super power in the world, what one would you want and why?

Even if it's an obscure weird power, please tell. Mine would be shapeshifting, hands down. I would love to have the ability to turn into any of my favorite cartoon or comic book characters or anyone I wanted.

I automatically get powers just by shifting,

talk about a two for one deal.

I'd want shapeshifting, without conservation of mass. That way i could fly if i wanted to.

If I could only have one thing to shift into It'd be a phoenix.

If it had to be a real thing it would be either a jaguar or a falcon.

If i couldn't have that I'd want to be able to control lightning/electricity.

And if i couldn't have that, I'd like to be able to move super-super fast.

Negative aspects: You carry much hate to the world and yourself and in the long run this could lead to dangerous thoughts (suicide/cutting/killing) though the last one is least likeable since you would probably just have too much guilt.

I would have to choose either teleportaion or being able to manipulate fire. The reason for the first is because I would be able to go wherever I wanted to go. The second is I have always be a pyromaniac.

I have been, too... hehe I've got several scars on my arms from when I shouldn't have been playing with fire but did anyhow. I'd love to be able to either manipulate it, or better, create AND manipulate it. Of course, I'd be fireproof. I hate being burned.
