Allen Swift, who died recently at age 86 from a long illness, was a voice artist for some the cartoon world's classic shows. He was probably best remembered as Simon Bar Sinister on Underdog, but his credits run from Flebus (a Terrytoons short subject from 1958 made by his friend Gene Deitch) to Courage the Cowardly Dog. Swift voiced some of Deitch's Tom and Jerry cartoons (most notably in The Tom & Jerry Cartoon Kit: "The cigarettes and coffee are for the cartoonist").
