High School Musical
Sappy, cheesy, SO unlike real high schools... But yet the world loves it. I'm one of those weird theater geeks who thinks that while it is a good movie, it has its faults.
If some of you haven't heard, a stage show was written because of the movie's fame- for high schools and other groups to perform. Such as mine. Yes, my high school is actually doing HSM, which is cool. Some people are boycotting it, because those of us who have been in shows all along think it's strange that theater is suddenly "cool". Most people are in it, though. The cast list was posted tonight, and I got Kelci, the part I wanted. Not bad for a freshman... Comments, anyone? -Marty/Kelci

The basketball song in that made me think of Wilt when I saw it.

Ditto. Except everyone on the basketball team in the play is short, except the guy who plays Troy.
The red and white uniforms made me think of Wilt as well. I know the costume director, and she said that she's thinking of making them go old school with Converse high tops. No one got why I started to squeal during rehearsal tonight. -Marty

I only had one problem with HSM. I couldn't stand the fact that they didn't track Troy's singing voices together to make it sound better. And he looked sort of weird to me.
