AYDS diet pill commercial from the early '80s... the product disappeared somewhere around the middle of the decade. Gee, wonder why?

Hah yeah, even after they changed it to SlimAyd due to the scientists giving a name to AIDS, they shot themselves in the foot AGAIN because in parts of Africa, AIDS was nicknamed "the slim disease".

To be honest, I find the Wendy's commercial from the 80's a bit odd.

i saw this really weird commmerical once with a skateboarding burger king. it made no sense. and i think it was from the 80s. ill put a link to the vid if i see it
