Computer Complications at home
Hiya guys.
I just thought I ought to let some of you know, who are known to talk to me after work hours: my computer at home has started acting up. The computer starts up no worries, but it won't run any programs. No explorer, no email, no aim, no photoshop, no word, no nothing. And if I try to start something, then go to shut down it takes forever since the program, which didn't even begin to load, is 'shutting down' before the computer can. So alas dear friends, my art has been put on a 'no go' area for the time being. My fanfics, however, can still be written and loaded from work. But still. My poor computer. |

That stinks, CG. I hope that you get whatever problems there are straightened out, hopefully without it costing an extravagent amount of money. I frankly feel the world to be a darker place without your art.

Okay but I'm still going to pick your brain for a project I need help on, even if you can't make any art right now.

Good news chaps, my computer technician is going to come around tomorrow, pick up my box of miseries and whisk it away to go through an antivirus scan because of many spywares keep sneaking onto my pc.
It'll be fixed before the week is out, no problems about that! |

Your problem sounds BAD,
Hopefully it is something that can be cleanned without loosing data. IT kinda sounds like a Worm. If using windows XP/2000 Running as a Limited User helps assists in preventing Bad spyware and viruses from invading. Key word here is Helps not Stop. but It will also prohibit some applications from functioning. (this is due to Bad Security built into the application program usually due to lack of knowledge or lack of concern of the programmers.) Also (MODs please delete/edit if this in inappropiate) avast - Free Virus protection for Home users http://www.avast.com/ adaware SE Personal- Free adware cleaner for home users http://www.lavasoft.de Good Luck Monty |
