Default Tiny Toons, Freakazoid coming to DVD

Season 1 of both Tiny Toon Adventures and Freakazoid! will be out later this year on DVD. TTA will be out July 29; Freakazoid! release date has not been announced.

Both shows signified firsts for Warner Bros. Tiny Toon Adventures was the first television venture for Warner Bros. Animation. It had a sneak preview of the pilot, "The Looney Beginning" on CBS prime time the week before starting in syndication in 1990. Freakazoid! was one of the charter shows for Kids WB! in 1995.

Tiny Toons will retail for $27.95 while Freakazoid! will go for $26.99.

Finally I've been waiting for Freakazoid to come out on DVD ever since WB started putting it's animated shows out on the format.

So huhzah and with any luck there will some kind of panel at this years Comic Con, I can start making plans to attend.

Freakazoid! was one heck of a good cartoon show...it's been long overdue for a DVD release, in my opinion. I always loved those segments with Lord Bravery. And the Huntsman (not the NF member; the Charlton Heston lookalike whose theme song was always a heck of a lot more action-packed and dramatic than the segments themselves ). I mostly only remember watching Season One, when it first aired, so I was kinda annoyed to later learn that they went and scrapped those characters in Season Two.

Great news there for both series. I'm surprised that Tiny Toons didn't come out with a release sooner, but better late than never, I say. Great news to finally learn about Freakazoid's release, as well.

A!/PatB has a wider audience than TTA, hence why they released those first.

Still took them long enough, though ... and we're still waiting on A! volume 4.

Now if WBHV will get to work on cranking out additional DVD volume sets of some CNS productions too ...
