Default Movies You're Looking Forward To Next Year

Which movies are you going to watch next year, and why?

-Pirates of the Caribbean 3, because the first two are some of the best pure action/adventure cinema since Indiana Jones and this(hopefully) won't be any different.

-Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, because I'm a longtime HP fan and OotP is my favorite book so far.

-Ratatouille, because it's by Pixar. Enough said.

Ratatouille looks cute, as much as I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE cg animation.

I am Legend as in Richard Matheson's novel that Charlton heston so badly fluffed with The Omega Man? Well that may be okay, it's a good novel.

To tell you the truth I wouldn't lose any sleep if I missed any of the rest of those mentioned and that Eragon thing looks terribly hackneyed. Give dragons some respect! Those things look like the flying dog in The Never Ending Story. Bring back plasticine!

While we're on the subject on movies this is a snippet of Adam & Joe conversation I don't necessarily agree with but it does make me laugh like hell:

J: Lord of the Rings has become the Star Wars of this generation

A: So what's Star Wars to this generation?

J: Star Wars is the Krull of this generation.

Heeheehee I'm laughing again now. Perhaps you don't remember Krull....

I remember Krull, and I'm laughing, too.

Really? That's a first, considering how CG animation is basically all we get to see now in films. *I'm* certainly not complaining. Just as long as Pixar is still in the picture, bliss is all I'll know.

Fav movies for 2007? Not too surprisingly, Ratatouille isn't number 1 on my list. Actually, it isn't on my list at all, as it usually is with every single Pixar flick since Toy Story. I happen to fall in love with the films after I've seen how great they really are in the movies when I've nothing else to do, or on DVD.

Pirates of the Caribbean: World's End is a must for me. I *have* to know what becomes of Davy Jones and if all the hype about Tia Dalma being Calypso is true.

Spiderman 3: I have never picked up a single comic in the entirety of my life, yet here I am loking forward to seeing our spidey hero gracing the silver screen again, even if it means braving another M.J. by Kristen Dunst. I am not a fan of that woman. Plus, Venom rocks.

Those are all the flicks I can think of at the moment that I'm really looking forward to.

Please re-read the rules, I do have one in there saying one is not to start a thread without actually contributing anything. If you're going to ask us a question, you must answer it yourself. I expect you to do so soon.

The only movie that springs to mind (there are surely others but there was a preview for this during Happy Feet) is Fred Claus. Don't laugh at me, I'm dying to see Paul Giamatti as Santa. I'd actually thought that that would be a good role for him, some time back, I forget when.

I understand now, Sparky. Thanks for reminding me.
