It premiered in syndication and was such a big hit that a bar in San Francisco posted a sign next to its TV that said "No clinking of glasses or noise during The Huckleberry Hound Show. It won an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program, the first to do so. It would beget Yogi Bear, which spun off into a separate show in 1961.
