How I Found Out:
Watching TV, the news. And all of a sudden the reporter says she is sad to report comedian George Carlin passed on.
Killed Me. Killed me, really. I couldn't stand it. My favorite comedian and to be honest, a great mentor to me, was really really gone.
I was depressed the rest of the day. A month or so back, I saw his last comedy special on HBO. Laughed my ass off 'til tears were running down my face. Told my family I wanted to go see him sometime. Guess I was too late.
When I heard the news, thought it couldn't have been true. Thought I was dreaming or even it was a fake news report. But it was as real as real could be.
