Unfortunately, "The Nature of the Enemy" seems to have been almost universally panned, which all seems a bit unfair to me. I think that too many people still want
Night Gallery to have been
Twilight Zone: the Sequel, one of the most common criticisms being that NG had a habit of sacrificing substance for shock value. Trouble is that the majority of those shocks weren't exactly what you'd call scary. If you can accept NG for what it was - that is, a series of intriguing tales, each with a mildly creepy, but mostly very laughable conclusion - then "Nature of the Enemy" fits in perfectly with the rest of its kind.
