I always thought this sounded pretty pushy towards the consumers. I use Eastlink Digital Cable, but that doesn't mean everyone can afford to. Maybe I'm just a little ignorant on the topic, but it just feels like they're forcing a new standard on the public.
As long as this doesn't happen with HD-DVD's within the next ten years then I should be able to tolerate it. I don't want to have to re-buy my movie library again. Thanks for the heads up, Ccook50!
