I've been keeping a close eye on this for a while now. The stylized designs were a shock to the system at first, but most of them have grown on me. But what really has me excited about this series is that it will be filled to the brim with G1 homages and tributes.
The voice cast is fantastic too. David Kay, famous for his role as Beast Wars Megatron, has taken the reins as Optimus Prime (and another favorite T-Rex of transformers fame). Tom Kenny, famous as Spongebob and Edwardo, is giving a very G1-Esq performance of Starscream. Susan Blue is reprising her role as everyone's favorite pink car fembot named "Arcee", while Corey Burton, who provided the voices of Spike and Shockwave in the G1 cartoon, is moving up the ladder of evil as Megatron! Throw in Tarra Strong as the token human named "Sari" and you have a show brimming with talent.
The toys look like they will be the most show accurate ever. Despite the somewhat kiddy look to them, they look like they are brilliantly engineered to look exactly like their on-screen counterparts.

Here are some links to the previews of the new series:

As Megagents stated already, the show premiers Dec 26 on Cartoon Network in America and premier in Canada on New years day on YTV.
