I watched a few movies over the weekend but the one that I watched almost in its entirety was TMNT II: Secret of the Ooze. I love the first two Turtle movies since they are a precious part of my childhood and darn good movies to boot.
I caught some bits and pieces of some war movies I planned to watch but I couldn't really get into any outside "All Quiet on the Western Front". I can't get over how brutal this movie is.
Given that it was Remembrance Day when it was on, I almost started to cry during the scene when the soldiers charge across no-mans-land and are mowed down by machine-gun fire. And then when they finally made it into the enemy trenches people start fighting for their lives with anything they can grab like shovels. Powerful stuff.
