Game glitches are common problems.
To get past the chore pop up, you usually should be able to either press Z or click on the button. If neither of these methods work,

you could try, clearing cash, upgradding flash and a dozen other things,
But it is proboly easiest to add a new user to your computer(not the game), login under that new user and try login on through that user. This should give you a clear cache to work off of and it is sometimes easier.
