But to be honest, the reason I posted this is because director Peter Segal (50 First Dates, The Longest Yard) is currently filming a movie version of this classic series for Warner Bros and Village Roadshow Pictures. The cast are as follows:
Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart (which I think is perfect for him  )
Anne Hathaway as Agent 99 (who will be more-competent this time around)
Alan Arkin as Chief of CONTROL
The Rock (  ) as Agent 23
Terence Stamp as Siegfried
David Koechner as Agent Larabee
Terry Crews as Agent 91
Masi Oka as Bruce
Ken Davitian as Shtarker

I didn't know the tv show was based on a comic.
Anyway, I'm surprise that Warner Bros. is doing a movie version of this film.
Sounds interesting. I might check it out once it comes out in theaters.
