To me, the simple and childish things are the funniest things about Bloo: like when he and Herriman came up with an incredibly stupid song to smear-attack Frankie, or when he went at war with little Rivers over a 'funny face', or when he sold out his friends to Lil' Lincoln over a videogame only to lose the very next second. Stuff like Orlando Bloo, the dancing cactus and "Hot in Topeka" are great, but to be honest, they've become so overexposed(both by CN and other Foster's fans) that they've kinda lost their magic touch on me.
And I believe that there IS such a thing as going overboard with him, which is what I feel happened in Season 3 and parts of Season 4. Being a jerk is essential to his character, but making him an utterly-detestable jackass that gets no commeupance and giving no compensation to the characters that get hurt from his selfish actions -- that's a huge mistake. Especially with Mac, the poor kid. I definitely think they could tone him down a bit, at least when it comes to the person supposed to be his very best friend.
