It's a whole big sticky situation, and I see people on this forum are for, and against what happened. In a world where terrorism is as real as dirt, and practically just as everywhere (if you believe what they say), puting up small boxes all over the place isn't what I'd call the 'best strategy' ever.
The London underground bombing was sparked by bags. Now in Australia we have to report to officials if we see bags left by themselves, then they have them checked out by police and most probably bomb squad too. Terrified? We are! I lost my uncle in London, he was on one of the buses that was practically ripped to bits. But I'm not here to talk about him.
I put it down to simple stupidity. CN should have seen how wrong this idea was before giving it the go ahead, if that's how it works. If it isn't, those people are just down right tacky and stupid. Yes, the movie and show has gotten a lot more publicity but it's for the wrong reasons. Grinding a city to a halt. Law suits. Fines. Jail time. Hair conversations at a press conference.
If anything, I know I'm at least one singular person who WON'T be flocking to see the movie because of this.
And I believe Jim did a very adult thing by resigning. He realised, a little too late; like a LOT too late, how wrong it all was.
