You've got a good opening here, and kept everything in-character with Foster's, as opposed to RtO's uber-creepiness.
I always thought Ivan would make a good Jack Pumpkinead for some reason. And Uncle Pockets for Professor HM Wogglebug TE (from the books). I'm not ordering you to put them in; it's just my opinion.
