Well, I think there's one way of solving that problem of remaining somewhat "mysterious", but keeping her parents in the picture at the same time. Perhaps her parents could have died when she was young, therefore the nature of her parents would be unknown unless Madame Foster brings it up. You get what I'm saying? But this is just my opinion-you don't have to listen to me. 
Yeah, I don't really think Frankie would share her past with Mac. In fact, I'm not really sure WHO she'd share it with. The only ones I think she'd trust talking to about that are Madame Foster and, for some reason, MAYBE Wilt, but other than that I can't think of anyone.  |

I agree. Cheese is a lovable character, but isn't deep enough to devote to an entire movie.
