It is my unhappy duty to inform you all that Seaport Village, one of the most enchanting and picturesque areas in all of San Diego, is going to be destroyed:

I first heard about this on Monday from my cab driver, a very knowledgeable gentleman whom I used repeatedly during my stay in the city last week. I found it a little hard to believe but unfortunately a quick Google search shows that he was right. I am not happy about this; Seaport Village was one of my favorite places to visit in the city, loaded with fine restaurants and interesting places to shop. It will be missed.
If anyone was thinking about attending Comic-Con or visiting the city for any other reason, now is the time to do it... before the bulldozers roll in.
