Actually I think the doll is creepy too.
BUT, what really gets me is that, if you read the comments on the article, people 40+ are saying they grew up with elf dolls that were moved around each day etc - the idea behind the wildly-popular book and dolls isn't new. It irritates me that these two ladies are raking in the cash recycling an old tradition they had no hand in creating. I mean, there's no law that says they can't do it, it just annoys me that other people have to have actual creativity to make money.
(I know, I'm a bitter old lady.
