Crystal chandeliers, polished marble floors, and mahogany furnishings in the stately rooms recall the days when President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Charles Lindbergh stayed there. High-power business types gather at the hotel's clubby Grant Grill, and afternoon tea is served in the lobby 1 PM--4 PM Thursday through Saturday.
