After all Frankie has done around that House, all the scrubbing, the thousands of meals, the repair work, the yardwork, the shopping, the (presumed) fundraising, the nursing, the councilling, all this with virtually zero help from anyone other than Wilt, not to mention outside annoyances that intrude periodically and make her life all the more difficult (Goofball and Cheese come to mind), the idea of going someplace where her every need was catered to and taken care of would have been overwhelming.
Actually Cass I agree with how you said it, but I think what me and Pitbull were referring to was that later on we would have liked to see a patch up scene. At the time, it was perfectly reasonable and understandable Frankie would react that way to them when they kept spouting demands and stuff. But later on I just thought it would have been nice if she apologized.

Did those things need to be said? Absolutely, but the Fosters crew knew they hurt her and they felt bad about it and it was just a minor thing I thought would have been a nice "touch up". As for what The Huntsman was talking about, I think we all can agree that Frankie does not have an ordinary or a simple job by any means and that its far easier to push her to the edge then anyone else.

The first opening sequence of Frankie's day in the movie and the daunting tasks that were hurled upon the "new Frankies" by Mr. Herriman give us perfect examples of just how immeasurably stressful and difficult Frankie's work load is. This was no simple job nor was this a simple house, she had to deal with creatures who are capable of all kinds of messes and multiple needs. Not to mention still cook, clean, and put up with crazy outsiders (like Cass mentioned).

Let's be honest here, Frankie has a heart of gold and is extremely dedicated but at the end of the day: she's human just like us. You work all day at a staggering job where everyone depends on you every day, every day, and you get NO help, NO thanks, NO appreciation, NO support, NO consideration for your own feelings and NO relief from your boss or your friends. Can you recall the last time at Fosters anyone EVER volunteered to help Frankie out?

I mean besides big occasions like birthdays and stuff like that, no one ever offers to help. Frankie just got fed up, people like her can have noble goals and noble ambitions to do the job that needs to be done but let's face it, if you do something for years and years and don't get a single ounce of any appreciation its going to bug you, no matter how much you tell yourself "this job isn't about praise."

Face it, sometimes it is about praise. A little bit of thanks goes a long way and even the people who say its nothing or don't want to be thanked, deep down they do want it because it feels good inside to be appreciated by someone and having your hard work acknowledged. Frankie never got that and after getting a taste of what a dream life felt like, she chose to escape. We all do it, we do it in our books, our movies, our TV shows, our vacations.

We want an escape and sometimes we'll do anything it takes to get it, even if it only lasts for a brief moment. Look at Spider man. He gives everything to his super hero career and has sacrificed friends, family, relationships, school, and everything else just to be a hero and in the end, people turn on him or think he's more menace then hero. At times, he's quit being Spidey because he's fed up with being crapped on.

People want to know they are doing good in the world and in this world, Frankie was being appreciated and given the time off and relaxation her body and her nerves DESPERATELY needed. So no, I don't think it was out of character for her to do this in fact, I felt this was the escape that has been years in the making.
