Pythagorean Switch

This is such a waste of time. :P
This is a small clip of the most amazing Japan TV-show ever. It's an educational show, mostly about math I guess. Here comes the nice part. The start and end of every episode has a Rube Goldberg machine, afterwards showing a Japanese text "Pitagora Suicci", meaning Pythagorean Switch, hence the name. ;) Watch out, though: the jingle at the end is annoying.

GO. THERE. NOW.
(PS: Honda also had a commercial based on this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlMhFOwozoQ. It took 7 years to make. and is 2 min. long.)

This is cool. Reminds me of MOUSETRAP. I remember the Honda advert, I just cynically assumed they did on a computer...or something. Can't hear the sound sadly on my computer.
I do like the phrase Pythagorean Switch though. Everyone who reads this thread has to relevantly insert it into a normal conversation within a week! Or else.

It goes like this: (_ is wait 1 not)

Re Mi _ Re Mi _ HighDo Si _ _ Sol
Pi Ta Go Ra Su I tchi.

Oh yeah...
PYTHAGOREAN SWITCH. There, I said it. (Or else.)

koosie 10-18-2006 09:08 AM

hehe i kind of meant an audio conversation with a physically present entity.

And yeh, that jingle is dreadful.

HappyFoppy 10-18-2006 09:12 AM

So you mean that doesn't count?

Darn. (I just said it to my bro. There.)

koosie 10-18-2006 09:16 AM

good for you, you're excused.
Hang on! Was it in context?
I suppose you could just say "hey look at this Pythagorean Switch on Youtube or have you seen that....."
Bit of a get-out clause isn't it?
Wonkles!

HappyFoppy 10-18-2006 10:20 AM

I could.
Nah, I didn't, but it's just wednesday, so I have 4 days left till the end of the week. \o/

HappyFoppy 10-19-2006 10:15 PM

Oh come on. I want people to actually see this, not just me and koosie! Aren't timewasters very interesting?

(Oh man, almost end of week.) ;)
