Acid-tonged comedienne Joan Rivers passed away earlier today due to complications from throat surgery:

As I noted in the "What Ticks You Off?" thread, she'd been getting a lot of hateful comments since she was placed in a medically-induced coma last week, and they haven't let up with her death. At least now she never has to hear about them.

I don't know much about her, and the name itself is only vaguely familiar. In any case, RIP.
