2012 Emmy nominations
 
The primetime Emmy nominations were announced today, and Cartoon Network is up for five trophies. There are only three animation categories, and here's what's gotten a nod:

Outstanding Animated Program:
American Dad!, "Hot Water" (Fox Animation)
Bob's Burgers, "BurgerBoss" (BentoBox Entertainment)
Futurama, "Tip Of The Zoidberg" (Curiosity Company/20th Century-Fox)

Outstanding Voice-Over Performance:
Phineas And Ferb: Across The 2nd Dimension, Dan Povenmire as Dr. Doofenschmirtz (Disney)
Prep & Landing: Naughty And Nice, Rob Riggle as Noel (Disney)
Futurama, "Silence Of The Clamps", Maurice LaMarche as Clamps, Donbot, Hyperchicken, Calculon, Hedonismbot, and Morbo (Curiosity Company/20th Century-Fox)
The Looney Tunes Show, "Double Date," Kristen Wiig as Lola Bunny (Warner Bros.)
The Simpsons, "Moe Goes From Rags To Riches," Hank Azaria as Moe Szyslak, Duffman, Mexican Duffman, Carl, Comic Book Guy, and Chief Wiggum

Also, Cartoon Network's live-action Adult Swim show Children's Hospital is up for Special Class / Short-Form Program.

The Emmy ceremony will be in September.
