ABC Kids gone
Last Saturday morning, Sept. 3, saw the debut of a new block of kids shows on ABC , which replaced the Disney teenybopper fare of before (That's So Raven, Hannah Montana, Suite Life of Zack And Cody). The cartoons (Emperor's New School, The Replacements) also bit the dust. Power Rangers ended last September.
The new shows, under the umbrella title Litton's Weekend Adventure is from syndicator Litton Entertainment and consists of six half-hour live-action E/I shows aimed at ages 13 to 16. The shows (all times Eastern): 9 AM - Jack Hanna's Wild Countdown 9:30 - Ocean Mysteries With Jeff Corwin 10 AM - Born To Explore With Richard Wiese 10:30 - Culture Click 11 AM - Everyday Health 11:30 - Food For Thought With Claire Thomas This markes the first time since September 1962, when ABC started regular programming blocks, that the network aired no cartoons. |
Wow - in that span of time. I used to love Saturday cartoons with the big three (at the time).
