Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion
Looks like Marvel Vs Capcom 3 isn't the only big crossover game heading to stores next year.
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/26/ca...s-this-spring/ Can't believe this bit of new slipped past my radar but just like the thread title says such a game is heading to Wii's PS3's Xbox360's and 3DS' some time next year. Sounds promising given the fact the developers seem to be taking characters from the networks past and present hit shows, and yes for the people who didn't bother to click on the link and read the press release within, characters from Foster's WILL be in the game. Didn't specify whom but it's safe to say Bloo and Mac will more then likely be gimmes but hopefully they'll squeeze in some other favorites, hopefully Wilt so I can team him up with Samurai Jack and make "Team Lamarr" And hopefully this will also have online play (If the game is any good we could start a league or something.) |
Awesome. I like to think that this will be like Super Smash Bros, and include secret characters that can be unlocked.

...
Wilt and Samurai Jack. Team LaMarr. *dies* |

Anyone want to take a stab at guessing possible last bosses for the game, I'm thinking either Aku or Vilgax (SP?) as strong candidates. (With the Ice King being my dark horse pick.)

Here are the first videos of the 3DS version of the game which now has a proper title, "Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion" and release date June 1. The characters featured in the videos are The Powerpuff Girls, Chowder and Dexter. But you can see them fighting some of the other Characters that are in the game such as Samurai Jack, Numbah One, Flapjack and Mac and Bloo (Who appear to be competing as one entity, I know they are supposed to inseparable, but not in the literal sense.) According to the article there are going to be 18 playable characters and 19 assist/cameo characters Graphically it look okay, but what I can't seem to get over is that the game play seems a little on the slow side, not the manic Smash Bros styled free for all that most were anticipating, though that might be because the game was being run in 3-d which I heard does put a drain on the frame rate of some Nintendo 3DS games. Hopefully we'll hear more about the main console versions soon, if there are going to be any major differences or changes to the hand held title. |
Just to keep things moving on this thread here are some more character profile videos...
Ben Tennyson: Ultimate Alien Version Billy and Mandy Flapjack Samurai Jack Notes: Those looking forward to playing as "original recipe" Ben 10 might be a little disappointed. (Unless he's a hidden or separate character.) Looks like Billy and Mandy are also going to be another 2 in 1 character much like Mac and Bloo. Gah it's clear they couldn't get the actor who played Flapjack back to reprise the role. That sounds nothing like him at all. |
http://www.gametrailers.com/game/pun...xplosion/14582 There's even one with Mac and Bloo! Awesome! :D
...But that's Bloo Superdude, CN. D: |
Man Bloo is such a glory hound he gets his team's
And yes the developers clearly didn't do the research, that's not Bloonan people. Don't make me write a strongly worded letter on the subject, because I'll do it, my typing fingers are just raring to go.;) |
