Frankie in Southeast Arizona

Yes, this is a photomanip. But I thought it would be cool to have Frankie in one of my AZ photos. Here, she is pointing the way to the Serra Bonita Ranch (near Douglas).

As I said on DA, excellent job!

Where'd you get the original Frankie pic from?

Off of Google images. I then colored the background yellow, cut and pated to my photo, and did the shading.

You even got an impressive shadow in there, nicely done Howard! I'm partial to mountains and evergreen trees, but you've certainly captured AZ's splendor here. It turned out great!

Thanks. The photo was taken late September of last year, and it was
72 degrees down there. It had rained recently and the land was green! Which is normal down in that direction. It is very rural - all the way to the border.

I did not want just a cartoon in there, and look cheap - hence the shading.:D

Excellent photomanip here, Frankie certainly looks happy to be there. Neat job with the lighting, and that's some beautiful countryside there, no doubt. :)

A lot of people get the wrong idea that it is desert and cactus in that area to the border. It is all farm and ranch land - very rural and green (in spring and fall). It does have some desert shrubbery, but on the whole, I love that area.

That is a fun pic, Howard! I would love to see a whole series of pictures like this. I could almost see this becoming an internet fad.8D

I have an idea of one with Frankie up in the beautiful San Juan mountains in southern Colorado.
