2009 Special Juried Emmys; CN takes five
 

The Emmy committee handed out special juried awards on the evening of August 24th, and Cartoon Network took five (these are out of the jurisdiction of nominations and are for individual efforts).

Here's what won:

Chowder, "Shnitzel And The Lead Farfel" (Joe Binggeli recipient for Background Painting)

The Marvelous Misadventures Of Flapjack, "Sea Legs" (Chris Roszak recipient for Background Painting)

Underfist: Halloween Bash (Andy Suriano recipient for Character Design)

Moral Orel, "Sacrifice" (Elizabeth Harvatine recipient for Character Animation)

Robot Chicken, "Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II" (Joshua A. Jennings recipient for Character Animation)

Spike TV's Afro Samurai: Resurrection took a sixth juried Emmy (Shigemi Ikeda for Individual Achievement in Animation).

The awards for the nominated shows will be handed out September 12, a week before the main Emmy telecast.

Hooray for Chowder! :clap: And also... uh... yeah, that's about it.

I am happy for Robot Chicken though, I haven't seen the second one, but the first Star Wars episode was pretty sweet. :up: And congrats to Flapjack too, although I'm not its biggest fan, at least I watch it now and then. Good luck to each of them! :)

I haven't seen more than bits and pieces of any of these shows, but congratulations to CN anyway. Hopefully this bodes well for the big one coming up on September 12th. :frankiesmile:
