Moving Day Approacheth! (Is this a word?)

Tomorrow morning, I will be leaving my parent's home to move in to an apartment to be closer to school. This'll be my first time all on my own, so I'm hoping you'll all wish me luck as I head out on this exciting (and somewhat intimidating) new adventure.

Best of luck, of course. I remember my first place; cramped, poor ventilation, no AC, and a racist landlord. But no parents, either, which made up for it. 8D

Let us know how it goes. :)

Oh wow, lucky you! Best of luck in your new apartment, Nathander! :D Keep us posted.

Good luck Nath! :bloosmirk: Having your own place will be awesome. Being able to set things up the way YOU like. Getting only what YOU want. Having your own kitchen and fridge, your own bathroom, your own patio (if you have one) and front door, it's all so cool at first. After a while you just get use to it but yeah, at first it's very exciting. Enjoy your freedom! :D

Good luck to you Nathander! Funnily enough, I'm going to be moving home next week too, though it isn't such a big adventure for me - my housemates and I are simply relocating to another house a few streets up. (Incidentally, we probably won't have internet access for the first few days, so if I suddenly go quiet for a bit, there's your explanation.)

Packing is certainly stressful business, isn't it? And it's bad when it coincides with a time when you're supposed to be studying. :macwor:

So, you're finally getting to move. That's a big step for you, and I wish you well at it. :)

Best of luck Nathander!

Once you get used to it for a few years - you will never want to go back home (except for visits and vacations if you were real far away). I was out of the house @18, years later, (and a few deployments) I have two houses. One I wanna sell! Oh, and I could not stand living at home with my parents now.;)

Good luck to you! Enjoy the excitement of pure independence.:P

First, thanks everyone for all the well wishes. It means a lot.

I've been doing fine in the apartment so far, and I'm now on my fifth day alone. I'm about to go make a pizza and then head off to work. So, again, thanks for all the well-wishes, and just want to let you know I'm doing fine. :D

Glad to hear it. Hope your neighbors are higher caliber than mine. :P
