Dalton Sandifer, 1919-2008
Dalton Sandifer, cartoon writer who started with Walter Lantz on Woody Woodpecker in 1957 and migrated to Hanna-Barbera to work on shows like Secret Squirrel, Dastardly & Muttley and Scooby Doo, has died of natural causes at age 89.

Yes, I heard this just today, too. Very sad indeed. That's one long and great life worth remembering though. RIP Mr. Sandifer. You'll be missed. :'(

It's depressing to think that many of the greats from the great cartoons of a totally different time are leaving us like this. animation has really come a long way in over the years, especially over the last decade with cgi and the like. I hope we don't loose touch with what made animation so great to begin with and may Mr. Sandifer rest in piece.:'(
