Sorry I just had to get this Highlander reference in before the thread is deleted or moved or what have you.

I -think- he means the "Group" feature of the forum. Some forums make open groups that don't have any admin power. They just show up on the user's profile and maybe allow them to enter parts of the forum that are members only to that group. Their usually used for friendly (or not friendly in some forums cases) competitions.

A feature I've avoided on purpose...

But the word "clan" was an odd way of putting it if that's what they meant.
