Windows Vista

I got a new computer on Sunday and have not been able to log on since then. I always get a shockwave error. I was wondering if it had something to do with Windows Vista. Is anyone else using this operating system?

Have you tried reinstalling Shockwave?

One Radical Dude 03-06-2007 11:25 AM

Yeah, did you make sure you reinstalled Adobe Shockwave (or have the latest version downloaded)? It's very important that you get the latest. My only experience with Vista was a bit of a test drive at Office Depot, so I may not be much of help to you.

My copy of Vista hasn't arrived yet, but I agree that making sure everything is up to date, your browser and everything, would be the first thing to try.

I downloaded both the latest version of shockwave and flash players. I still get a server error. Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep trying to log on.

Poo. Have you tried multiple browsers?

I'm running Vista now and it's fine with me. Maybe try re-installing Shockwave like they said above. If you have anymore problems pm me.

Thanks for letting me know that it does work with Vista. I will try again later on today.

I have reinstalled shockwave, I have turned off my anti-virus software, I have tried Internet Explorer and Netscape, and I still get between 65 & 75% loaded and I get a trouble communicating with the server error everytime. I am giving up for the time being before I tear all my hair out. Thanks to everyone for your help.
