Crazy orange wind!
 

Something very strange happened today!!

Ok, so it was windy out.... HELLA-windy. Seriously, like, dangerous-to-drive windy. I work in a somewhat drafty building, and once the wind blew so hard that it blew all the doors open and blew our dry-erase board down!

Eventually, I noticed it was getting weird-looking outside, and within about an hour, the sky was ORANGE. It looked like dusk, and it was about 2:30 in the afternoon. It was even partially blocking out the sun.

Turns out, the wind had picked up a lot of dirt from a field that had nothing but orange-ish red dirt, and with all of it in the air, it made the sky turn from blue to orange. It lasted for about two hours, but after that, it was clear and pretty out.

I've never seen that before!

When it turns green it means a tornados comin'

I wish I could have gotten a picture, too, Cassini, but all I had with me was my black and white camera! :(

There is a picture of it on the front page of our newspaper if I'm not mistaken, so I will try to scan it and get it on here. It was pretty incredible!

Ooooh! Thats sounds like it looked awesome! Hope you do get that pic scanned!

Sorry everyone... our newspaper obviously didn't think it was good enough to merit pictures, so none will be posted here. Just another reason I hate the newspaper here. :terrence:
