One Piece
 

Is anyone here who reads (or watches) this pirate-theme manga/ anime?

To me, it took something very old, and made it brand new. I really like the storyline and the twist it pulls off in the process, as well as being original.

Aside from that, I really like Luffy, Zoro and even Chopper.

Well, that is all.

I've only read a bit of the Manga and seen about 30 episodes of the Anime (not the 4Kids dub, which is horrible). What I've seen of the original is pretty darn good, but the 4Kids dub -- thankfully, they're no longer dubbing any new episodes (give it to Viz or some other respectable company).

I agree, ORD. I'm glad the 4kids dub is cancelled.

But, if One Piece should return on television, I rather see either Funimation or Geneon to dub the series. At least those two are respectful to the original.

Well, I'm not a big fan of anime, but I saw the first episode in Japanese online at YouTube (subbed in English, of course). I never, ever want to watch the 4Kids dub; those guys have the most annoying voices in the world.

ME! XD I was a huge fan of One Piece but I've sort of mellowed out of it. Up to current comic arc, don't really watch the anime though.

I like One Piece. %3 My favorite character is Usopp. I read the manga and watch the anime (used to only watch it subbed but now I watch the dub now that Funi has it), but lately I've been forgetting to read the manga chapters, eheh.

I have the first 30 episodes on DVD in Japanese with English subs, it's pretty good. I've watched more of the 4Kid's dub, but I'm not as outraged as everyone else seems to be. The theme song they gave it was horrid though x.x
