I think I know where Foster's is located!

I don't know if this was mentioned before, but here goes. I know what the address is duh. I put it in a on Google and it mentioned Scanectity. I put that on Google too and it came up with New York. If this has already been mentioned tell me. You can tell me if I am stupid or not.

FostersFriend 08-16-2006 11:50 PM

Mmm could be ya know. I've got Google earth and typed in 1123 Wilson Way and it came up with this.

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n...3wilsonway.png

and look Wisconsin, and if I remember clearly Terrence mentioned in 'Duchess Of Wails' that they are moving, all the way to Wisconsin (but he made a mistake though, but it could be a hint)??????

GrimTheLost 08-16-2006 11:51 PM

IT'S MADNESS SHEER MADNESS!!!

FostersFriend 08-16-2006 11:57 PM

Ok now i'm confused, did I do something wrong??

GrimTheLost 08-17-2006 12:14 AM

No, I'm just being crazy.

FostersFriend 08-17-2006 12:35 AM

oh ok lol 8D

well i'm going to try and solve this mystery, lets split up gang..lol :D

Cheesecake_Recipe 08-17-2006 01:04 AM

Wisconsin is known for being a fairly boring state, so it would make sense that so many Imaginary Friends are popping out of the kids there.

I think I lol'ed in my pants.

pitbulllady 08-17-2006 02:47 AM

According to Lauren Faust, Foster's is located "somewhere in the Pacific Northwest", and the trees and landscape ARE similar to what you'd see in Oregon or Washington state. Since they went to the beach in "Squeeze the Day", it stands to reason that they'd be near the ocean, so Wisconsin would be out, and it could not have been a lake beach, either, since there are no freshwater jellyfish in North America.

Dang and I thought I was on to something.:)

FostersFriend 08-17-2006 03:11 AM

Well that actually sound very reasonable. I checed it out, very possible. If ever I meet them , i'm gonna ask them straight "where is Foster's Home?'

GrimTheLost 08-17-2006 04:07 AM

It's a hot topic among fans... hot toe pick...

lucyrocks73 08-17-2006 04:29 AM

IT'S HOT IN TOPEKA!!!

I always thought (y'know, with the woods and all) they lived in Oregon or something, but that was just a guess.

I do have to wonder, though... Why the heck were they getting weather reports for Kansas then???

-Marty 8-)

GrimTheLost 08-17-2006 04:34 AM

Probobly just watching the Weather Channel. That goes everywhere.

antgirl1 08-17-2006 06:29 AM

And so only Washington, Oregon, and California remain. I wonder if Eduardo ever wishes he lived in Idaho. XDDD

I *already* asked them, and that's where the answer by Lauren that pbl mentioned came from. Lauren told us that if it's anywhere, its in the Pacific Northwest, but that the *specific* loaction will never be revealed.

GrimTheLost 08-17-2006 04:57 PM

Aww that sucks.

Tonya 08-17-2006 06:18 PM

Well, I looked it up on Yahoo and there IS such thing as Topeka Kansas. But there are no oceans around there so...And another thing, when Bloo was watching the weather channel, you know the map they showed on the TV for Topeka? Foster's must live somewere around there right? So mabe the ocean was just a random thing the writers put in. I mean, the same thing goes for Springfield and the Simpsons. Springfield is in no specific place so the writers can put whatever surroundings they want for Springfield, such as the beach, the mountins, and there's NOTHING like that around were I live, Springfield not being extreamly far away from me. So...mabe werever Foster's is is just a made up place? I'm not making one bit of since am I?

I can guarantee that Foster's is NOWHERE near Topeka, Kansas! Topeka is not just hot, it's FLAT-I'm talking possum-that's-been-lying-on-the-road-for-a-month flat! There are no mountains, conifer forests or beaches anywhere near.

Bloo was watching a parody of the Weather Channel in "Squeeze the Day", since they have some really "dry", boring weather forecasters on there, and of course, they give the weather for the entire country, not any specific region. Everyone sorta got hung up on the Topeka thing, but most people forget that the weatherman also mentions other cities, including Spokane, which is in Washington state.

Ahhh, okay. Well, like Sparky said what Lauren said, "the *specific* loaction will never be revealed".

Lauren meant "specific" as in a specific city, or particular Pacific Northwestern state, but that really only leaves two that have a coastline, and they would be Oregon and Washington, unless you count northern California, too. Given the way that some of the human locals dress, I get a real Seatle vibe from the place.

I thought they were in California, since they were able to drive to Los Angeles (it was L.A., right?) in Sweet Stench of Success, but I never thought to take the flora and fauna into account.... Hmmm...

Before we talked to Lauren on TV.com, I had them pegged in California myself for that same reason. But, I was wrong. :)

kageri 08-17-2006 08:24 PM

Aw man, I was all proud of being semi-close to Foster's. I suppose it's just supposed to be any old suburban city. They probably didn't think about where exactly, and there aren't any really obvious clues (like in Pee-wee's Playhouse how he jumps past Mt. Rushmore when he rides off on his scooter at the end of the show)... and since California's close to beaches, and they could drive to L.A., it made sense. Wah...

taranchula 08-17-2006 08:30 PM

It's gotta to be Washington, after all it was revealed in the episode, "Imposter's Home..." that Foster's is in close proximity to Canada and Washington is the only Pacific state that boarders with a Canadian Provence (British Colombia.)

One Radical Dude 08-17-2006 09:19 PM

It's anywhere between Northern California and Washington state. That's all we'll ever know -- in the Pacific Northwest.

Kzinistzerg 08-18-2006 07:48 AM

All that matters is the general area. We don't need to know exactly where it is.

Sims Katie 08-19-2006 08:41 PM

It lives in our hearts, in the laughter of a baby and the hope in a child's eyes. In the - wait, what were we talking about again? xD

Exactly.

LaBlooGirl 08-20-2006 05:15 PM

Huh...interesting that the Foster's address pops up in Wisconsin. But I think that's just coincidence.

LOL Some of the reasoning is quite funny...such as people being so bored in Wisconsin they dream up a lot of Imaginary Friends. Way to go, Cheesecake. ::grins:: Is that where Cheese himself came from? XD

Nyo 08-23-2006 04:36 PM

Well, it snowed in A Lost Clause (no duh) so it means Foster's must be in Northern California; it doesn't snow in Southern California.

man that would so rock if they do O__O

Voxxyn 09-27-2006 05:53 PM

Sometimes, I like to think it's located at California, only because it's hilarious to picture Governor Arnold Schwarzenneger telling Frankie and the gang that they're permanently banned from the beach.

I'd believe the "close to Canada" theory, except, well, it came from IMPOSTER'S HOME...

billytheskink 09-27-2006 07:20 PM

I'd like to reiterate that the flag that flys at Mac's school looks an awful lot like the first national flag of the Confederate States of America.

If that had any bearing on where Foster's was located, it'd be located down southways. Unlikely, given the show's visuals.

Of course, the great thing about a cartoon is that the location doesn't need to be anchored. You can be close to the river, beach, mountains, snow, jungle in any given episode.

lucyrocks73 10-14-2006 12:24 PM

For some reason, I always had it in my head that they lived in Oregon. Why, I'm not sure.

-Marty 8-)

HappyFoppy 10-15-2006 01:12 AM

I also have no idea why you would think it. ;)

Anyway, I don't think Foster's is located anywhere, just in a fictional version of America (that's for sure in Foster's Goes to Europe). There's not that much logic in cartoons. All we know is it's not Canada either as seen in Imposter's, but it can't be too far away (and actually not too close) if you go there with a train.

rickey14 10-15-2006 10:29 AM

i think Foster's would b located in Kansas.cause in one of the episodes Bloo was bored and he was watching the weather and it said it was "Hot in Topeca",which is in Kansas.DU:D

Bloo was watching "The Weather Channel", which was giving weather reports from all over the country. In addition to Topeka, the weatherman also mentioned Spokane, which is in Washington state, and Schenectaty, which is in New York state. Just for the record, there are no beaches in Kansas-no ocean, no beaches, and no jellyfish.

Yeah but they also mentioned "Showers in Spokane" which is in Washington so....

Drat! PBL is quicker on the draw.
