Craig Shows us how to Draw the Characters

Aww, that is nice of Craig. XD

LMAO! Craig described Wilt as a "lollipop"! XDD I thought that was unexpected, but still funny. XDD

Anyone else see the ADs for this?

Carlaz 11-18-2006 10:58 AM

No, but I'd be interested in seeing the ads. :D

Sparky 11-18-2006 12:02 PM

I just saw him draw Mac and Bloo, but I'm sorry I didn't record it.

I am going to be taping the marathon on Thanksgiving so any good ads, including these, I should be able to get.

SkittleMonkey 11-18-2006 12:51 PM

I saw him draw Mac and Bloo, too! He called Bloo a thumb...8D

Sparky 11-18-2006 01:45 PM

I recorded the Wilt one but I'm having trouble convincing my computer to let me turn it into an uploadable file. :jk: I'm working on it.

One Radical Dude 11-18-2006 01:53 PM

I did not see any of them, yet. I will be on the lookout. :)

Cassini90125 11-18-2006 02:01 PM

I have no idea what this is all about, but I'm more than a little intrigued. Somebody fill me in? :)

Sparky 11-18-2006 02:03 PM

New bumpers on CN starring Craig, probably in one of his cubicles at CN, showing us how to draw various characters. Craig's such a quiet (seeming) guy I wouldn't have expected him to do anything like this, so its cool that he did. :)

Cassini90125 11-18-2006 02:07 PM

That is cool. Can't wait to see it! :D

kageri 11-18-2006 02:08 PM

What?! Why didn't I get to see these?! I could use this information! Anyone planning to record it?

Sparky 11-18-2006 02:20 PM

Craig Draws Wilt

(sorry for the crappy vid quality - it has to do with my VCR)

antgirl1 11-18-2006 03:08 PM

"He's like, a collapsed lollipop," LOL!! XDD

"His eye's like another lollipop, but his wonky eye's like a...broken lollipop," It looks more like a lightening bolt to me. XD

"-Little arm-" LOL! Wilt's got a long arm, and a LITTLE one. XDD

"-Tear-drop shaped body-" I KNEW IT!

"-Giant feet, which are kinda like half circles," Or GIHUGEIC. XDD

Aww, but he didn't say anything about what those "lobes" on the sides of his face were...XDDD

But he did call the things on them "stitches", so at least that's cleared up.

Did he? (I can't get the video to work on crappy cpu) That's cool. At least that proves the stitches aren't discolored scars or something of the like. Now it will be even more interesting to see how they are going to explain that in the show, why he still has stitches all these years later.

CG 11-18-2006 06:49 PM

The file won't even work for me.

Sorry, working now.

. . um. Does it cut out for anyone else?

Carlaz 11-18-2006 07:04 PM

Sparky, thank-you! :) You're the *best*! :D

Well, it's working, but it said something about a network error, so it can't be played.:( I'll just wait until it can work.

The "Lollipop" things on Wilt sound so funny!8D I wish I could see it!

Nyo 11-19-2006 06:20 PM

Can somebody upload it on YouTube?

montitech 11-19-2006 06:58 PM

I saw how to draw Ed earlier today.

Monty :-/

Cassini90125 11-19-2006 07:00 PM

I'd be interested in seeing how Coco is drawn; she strikes me as more of a challenge than the rest of the characters.

She is a bird-airplane-plant thing! There has to be some kind of trick to it.

HappyFoppy 11-19-2006 09:57 PM

*is jealous at Craig's drawing skills*

Really, wtf. He can draw _that_ any time he wants without any sample? He ROCKS.

LaBlooGirl 11-20-2006 03:20 AM

You know I can't get this to play. All I get is an ad on the WMV player and this is both on my cpu at home and at work. What gives?

That happened to me when I clicked "save as", but when I let it stream it worked.

Sparky 11-20-2006 12:54 PM

I've been told there is an Ed one of these, so there's most likely a Coco one as well!

(Sorry you guys are having trouble playing the clip. :'( )

"C" the Dragon 11-20-2006 03:57 PM

No problem, Sparky. And I finally saw the clip! I like it! And the best part is that they showed a few clips of Wilt in GWH!:D And if you listen and payed attention very carefully, I think you can hear Craig say something about Wilt's lobes.

Don't feel bad, Sparky! :) I couldn't see it the first time I clicked on the link, but, then I turned off my pop up blocker & I could see it just fine. :bloogrin

Wendi 11-20-2006 08:17 PM

I saw this! He was like "Mac is like... a square..." And I was like "NO... REALLY?" but anyways, XD I did see it. It was a cute drawing!

Ha, my friend was talking about some tribe that shaped their babies' heads with wooden planks and I was like lolmac?

I saw these yesterday! I tried drawing Mac and Bloo. Bloo looked fine but Mac looked like a weirdo rockstar. XD

One Radical Dude 11-20-2006 11:47 PM

I can see the video, but I have no volume. :(

*shrinks* My Windows Media Player was muted, so, now, I can hear the audio. :P

Voxxyn 11-21-2006 01:48 PM

Is this basically just another "Foster's 5"-only thing? Because I'd REALLY like to know how to draw Frankie...

Sparky 11-21-2006 08:37 PM

I am under the impression from what I've heard about these bumpers that there is no Frankie one. I could be wrong (that'd be nice), but I don't think so.

Seems like it, I only need Mac, Eduardo & Goo. I can draw Bloo (Who can't?), Wilt, Coco, Cheese, Frankie & Madame Foster. I can draw Herriman a little bit.
Frankie's easy if you practice, just print out a good picture of her & try to draw her body first then her head, finally the hair. Mac's hard as crap though, mainly his head.

That's what I thought when I drew him for the first time. Do not underestimate Bloo's hardness-to-drawness.

Sparky 11-22-2006 12:51 PM

Bloo is SO not easy to draw. :P

Cassini90125 11-22-2006 02:16 PM

Eh, he's not so tough:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...25/Bloo001.jpg

Done with Paint. Took about 10 minutes. Not my best work, but what the heck. :bloocross:

Sparky 11-22-2006 02:43 PM

Try it freehand. :) Not the same as using shape tools in a computer program.

The eyes you can do with a shape tool, but he doesn't have ears or an actual head or anything, so it's hard to make his face be in proportion and in the right place on his body.

Yes. And Bloo does look like a thumb. :bloogrin

One Radical Dude 11-22-2006 10:11 PM

I still haven't seen the other clips, besides the Wilt one. Hopefully, they will be seen on Thanksgiving. :)
