Wander Over Yonder

Hey, guys, I have some big news to share with people. Disney just released some interesting information regarding some upcoming animated programs. The one I really wanted to stress out about is the one from someone we are all familiar with by name, Craig McCracken. He is creating the series, and it will premiere at some point in the future on Disney Channel. Also a few names that may ring a bell -- some of the voice-over talents include Keith Ferguson (Bloo) and Tom Kenny (Eduardo).

Big news indeed! Definitely something to look forward to!

Indeed. I had a feeling that someday, "Wander Over Yonder" would end up as an animated series. To hear this becoming a reality -- great news! :)

Very good news indeed.

I just noticed the antagonist's name is "Lord Hater", I hope his catch phrase is "Hater's Gonna Hate!"

Well, bumping this up from over a year, Wander Over Yonder has its official premiere on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 9 PM ET on Disney Channel. There will be a first glance on August 16, and a sneak preview of the premiere through iTunes on August 30.

A 14-second Wander promo:

YouTube link copied from Lauren's dA page. She and Craig both announced the show in their newest dA journal entries.

Here's the opening titles and music:

Quite possible the most insanely catchy theme song this year!

Cassini90125 07-30-2013 07:56 PM

(Cassini watches and listens to opening theme) Well, that was... interesting. 8D

Dang site set off my virus detector. :P

Howard 07-31-2013 05:44 PM

Interesting...

For those interested, there's a group on dA devoted to the show:

The group's current journal features the clip from Comic-Con last month (there are other clips as well), in which we learned some valuable information about Sylvia. 8D

Did anyone watch the preview this weekend?

It was a great preview. I think Craig & co. have another series I'll be watching regularly.

I was wondering if any of you have seen McCracken's new show. If so, what do you think of it? I personally didn't like it. I tried to, because I like him and his works so much, but I can't. :(

Cassini90125 12-06-2013 12:41 PM

I haven't seen a full episode, just a clip and a few screencaps. Looked okay but not really my cup of tea, overall.

Howard 12-16-2013 06:57 PM

I think I have said this before. I saw an episode, and I really did not get into it. Just is not my thing.

I am waiting for Gravity Falls Second Season. It is the only newest series to rival Fosters.

Sparky 12-16-2013 07:51 PM

I actually do like it, even if the theme song is the most annoying thing ever. I think its cute and I like Sylvia.

Cassini90125 03-05-2016 10:14 PM

Show has been cancelled

After two seasons and 80 episodes, Wander Over Yonder wanders no more. From Craig's Tumblr blog:

http://crackmccraigen.tumblr.com/pos...er-yonder-over

The show wasn't really my cup of tea but I'm nonetheless sorry to see it go. :bloosad:

I heard Craig may be working on another series. Either way, I hated to see WOY end after only two seasons. I understand that there's a petition going around for reviving the series.

ismelllikecanada 03-21-2016 12:59 PM

Aww... it's gone? that show was good, but since it's gone, then, oh well. I can certainly say that it was good but not great.

There are no less than four petitions, all of which are linked to on the page of this DeviantArt group:

http://savewoy.deviantart.com/

It kind of amuses me that they think Disney will pay even the slightest attention to them. ::)

ismelllikecanada 04-14-2016 04:15 PM

Petitions can only do so much; maybe we'll be lucky and something will change(probably not :( )
