May 3rd, The Day Foster's will End
Yeah, I think it's pretty much confirmed. The only thing missing is CN's own schedule showing the last episodes. Is "See all showings" working for anyone else? It isn't working for me. The little pop up comes up, and there's even a scroll bar right now which makes me think there should be a number of episodes listed, but the space is blank. :blooconf:
Anyway, I shared last week that the date and names of the last five to be aired were up on MSN's TV sight. Now they're up on both TVGuide and Zap2It. Put the three together and I think it's as good as confirmed. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...uleTVGuide.jpg TV Guide's schedule page. Looks like they either don't have the name for "The Bloo Superdude and the Great Creator of Everything's Awesome Party that He's Not Invited To", or they thought it was too long to list the name. 8D Still no synopsis for "Fool's and Regulations". We also see the marathon starts at 1 and ends with "Goodbye to Bloo" at 7. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...duleZap2It.jpg Zap2It's schedule page. I know I know, we don't trust them. But it's up and it matches the other two. :P And at least they wrote out most of the name for the second "Bloo Superdude" episode. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...cheduleMSN.jpg And MSN's episode page. The new episodes aren't showing up on their schedule page yet, don't know why. But they have the names and the date. So this is what we have so far. I checked Comcast and they're not listed yet, but I'll check again later. All that's left is for the marathon and the final five episodes to pop up on CN's schedule page. |
A confirmed date? Hooray! Ooh, I'm so excited! ;D
|
Ok, yeah it's confirmed now. It's on CN's sight, although a different part of the sight than I'm familiar with. I shared the date on ToonZone, mentioned I didn't see it on CN's sight yet, and someone posted this-
http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...scheduleCN.jpg (sorry if it's a bit hard to read, it's a screencap, and this is exactly what the page looks like :P ) So yup, I'd say the date and times are officially confirmed now. ;) |
Oh, yay! I'm both excited and sad at the same time.
|
The Bloo Superdude & The Great Creator Of Everything's Awesome Party That He's Not Invited To? What an excellent title!! 8D
I second IL's response. Happy and sad at the same time. |
Yeah, I saw this up on MSN the other day. It's sad the show must end with a marathon, but at least we're finally seeing the last episodes.
|
Wow, what better way to end Foster's than a marathon leading up to the last ones? I'll be sure to tune in, for sure. :D
|
About time! :D
|
I'm going to be at work during the last couple of episodes. I'm going to have to get someone to record them for me.
|
Fiiiiinallyyy!!! The time has arrived, and it just makes the perfect present for my birthday, which is one week before the marathon.
I'm so gonna prepare my pop-corn! |
Finally!! This will be a day of mixed emotions for many of us here. It has been a great ride for the series. I look forward to seeing how the show ended.
|
That's :bloosmirk: and :bloosad: at the same time....
Wan't Goodbye to Bloo meant to have already aired in europe...I think thwey messed up with the schedule, didn't they? |
I know this is venturing into the whole " if if's and buts were candy and nuts..." territory but I wish that Cartoon Network wouldn't just shove the remaining five episodes out the door on the same day, if only for the reason that every episode deserves to be savored and viewed one at a time so it can properly be analyzed, critiqued and rewatched so that one can take in everything they missed the first time before the next one airs.
And by having them all air on the same day that experience will be sadly lacking as mostly everyone would be rightly focusing their energy on the end and not the brilliance that is sure to proceed it. Despite verbalizing what a lot of people might be thinking there nothing anyone can do and that's that. Besides it's better to gorge one's self with a whole bushel of comedic fruit in one sitting then having none at all. |
That's very true, and a lot of good points there. I personally would've prefered the old fashioned "New episode every friday" than a "All in one day" thing. But again, we need to be thankful for what we are getting.
I pledge to savor every moment Foster's will offer us. However, the sad truth that it will be gone sooner than we believe, but I'll always treasure the good years it gave us. :D |

It'll be a while until I see the last episode, unless CN airs them over here at the same time or something, but I have to agree; it does seem that they just want Foster's over as soon as possible. At least they're not doing something like airing the last episodes when everyone's in school/work.
Does anyone know when Goodbye to Bloo will air over in UK? Any info would be very much appreciated. edit: Quote:

And I also second what T said about airing a different episode on different days so we can ponder over each episode at a time and have more time to take it all in. With how April has treated me, I have yet to get a new cable box and therefore don't have DVR right now. I'll try to get one this next week, but if not, I may miss it. I'll likely be working that day, and I may have to record it via VHS, if I can find one long enough to record all the new episodes without someone there to edit out the commercials. |
Agreed, I know it's a sweet idea to have them all in a goodbye marathon, It does seem a bit hurried. I'd like the show to go away gradually week by week instead of just saying "here'sthelastepisodesgoodbyenowwecangetonwithairi ngourstupidnewshowslikeBen10"
hurridley. It's sad to see the show go, but atleast it left good, before the episodes started getting rubbish or something, as shows that run for too long always do (EG. The Simpsons), so it really is a good thing, and as Craig said, it would be bad if they started running out of ideas. It's still sad though...really sad :( Goodbye Fosters :bye2: |
I totally just teared up a bit...
I'm really sad right now. And I know that there would have been a point when I would have said, "Hey, they should have stopped while it was still unique and original," but I can't help being a little sad. I can't wait to see how it ends; maybe it'll fast-forward and we'll see Mac all grown up and still coming to see Bloo? I wore my Foster's shirt yesterday. What's going to happen when I can't go to Hot Topic (yes, mine still has the occasional Foster's item) and buy something? It's really sad. There are so many good cartoons that are forgotten when they end. Let's just pray that we can make Foster's get the recognition it deserves. Maybe that's what we should do; I know most of the people on here, if not all, are not bitter about the show ending, just a little sad. But from experience, the Kim Possible people petitioned and petitioned to bring back KP for a fourth season. Now, I think the show should end whenever and however Craig and the gang want it to, but I think maybe I'll write a letter or two to CN, just letting them know that the show HAS fans and that it should keep airing even though the series has ended. I don't know how effective that'll be, but it'll make me feel a little better. WHY DOES FOSTER'S HAVE TO END THE DAY AFTER MY PROM??? And I leave you with this note: Friends is still on. -Marty :goo: |
It's so sad to see Fosters go, so many memories of the show. I think Fosters really sparked my love for cartoons and animation overall. But it's had a good run, and in my personal opinion I never really experienced any bad episodes which is a rare thing to say for many shows, especially cartoons.
Goodbye Foster's you will be missed :( |
I'm really sad to see the show go - it's one of CN's finest shows, despite having the occasional bad apple (but let's not get into that!)
I had a great time watching this show - I could really relate to Mac and Frankie espically...they were always my favorites...besides Bloo of course :) Craig should really be proud for making two great shows! |
I'm not even sure what to say right now. Obviousy, I knew it was going to end, but to see a confirmed date (And so soon!), it just - I feel depressed about it ending all over again. And here I thought I had made my peace with it. :(
I'm locking myself in the house that Sunday. |
you know what would have been cooler. If they showed all of the fosters episodes like with what they did with ed edd n eddy.
|
I can't believe it's ending either. I remember when I saw my first episode (cookie dough - still a favorite) aw... well i'm glad it had a good run. i can't wait for the rest to come on dvd. and yes.. i think on sunday i will be locking myself in my parents house to watch it. :gooblab:
|
Time to pop open the yager in the final episode.
|
I find it hard to believe Foster's has been delighting us for the last 5 years, just about. It honestly just seems like yesterday since it first started. It doesn't need to be said that it's come a long way in that time, and it will be sorely missed.
|
One more day until the end of a great series will air. They're showing the "Final Foster's Five" ads on CN.
|
Hard to believe (even at this point) that Foster's will have its series finale tomorrow, but it has been a wonderful ride while it lasted.

HOWEVER...I must agree with you that Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends should continue to air... and on a regular basis at that: there is only so much Chowder and Flapjack I can stand before tuning to another channel. |
THE END! The day I feared most! A fate worst than death (Not really). . . .
I cant believe it. I knew it waz comin but found it hard to believe. FHIF to me was the best show EVER.To other people it was just a show but to me it was more....many years ago the was a draw your imaginary friend contest (in honor of house of bloo's movie) and they i entered.I won and they featured my artwork the very next week.It held so many memories for me and it so sad to see it would end. PS Im new here |

Man, I can't believe tomorrow's really the end. I think I'm in denial, guys. I can't wait to see the new episodes, but like...I don't want it to end, you know? |

WHAT THE CHEESE??
|
OMG
THE ENDING WAS AN EPIC WIN. |
Hard to believe it's over, really.
The whole joke of "jumping the shark" was funny, although I'd figured out that when Herriman said that Mac was moving, he sorta/kinda neglected to say that Mac was not moving AWAY, and I KNEW that they'd have to find a way to get Cheese in there, somehow...poor Wilt! Thanks, Craig and Lauren and the rest of the Foster's crew, for six seasons of the best tv show ever. pitbulllady |
I am crying...I feel so pathetic. I guess I'm just going to missthe idea of new episodes.
|
For those of us who were not able to see it on time (*pouts*), can we have some spoilers???
-Marty :goo: |
Oh man, you guys. Seriously, I wanted to cry when the last episode ended. I almost did.:( What a fantastic ending to a fantastic series.

Yeah, I was OK until that thing with the house...that really brought it home that this was the end, that it was over. There's just this sort of emptiness now. pitbulllady |
OMG I need to see it!!
Come on SPARKY!! being us the epic!! |
