Episode #8 "World Wide Wabbit"

I imagine the discussion for this episode faded away a long time ago in the old forum... I was curious whether someone was able to pick up what exactly Mr. Herriman announces through the intercom during dinner. English isn't my first language so I sometimes have trouble understanding spoken language.

The line I'm asking about is: "Miss Milly does not deserve such treatment. She's a respected member of the culinary committee of snackticity?" It's at about 11 minutes in, including the intro. What's the last word he says? My guess (snackticity) isn't even a real word... an imaginary committee?

Me thinks it was something about "Miss Milly's Low-Carb Chili from East Philly." Of course, being a Philadelphian, there is no such location of East Philly to be fouund as you can tell from my location.

The line I'm thinking of comes a bit after the Chili one... I used to think that line was "East Village Chili," so yeah, I wish I could get subtitles on the iTunes version of the episode I bought recently.

Well, you got my curiosity going so I dragged out the disc and listened. The full line is, "Miss Milly does not deserve such treatment. She's a respected member of the culinary committee of Schenectady City."

Awesome, thanks Cassini! I love this episode since it's one of very few where Frankie laughs... a lot! It's contagious!

Always nice to see her having a good time. The whole episode was fun, every part of it; it's been one of my faves since I first saw it way back in early 2005.

True, the bottom line was, everyone was happy in the end! Maybe not so much Bloo, since he got scolded by Frankie for touching her "Dull" computer (such a great parody) :bloosmirk:, but he didn't get punished either. A truly remarkable episode, and #1 in my book.

Well, not everyone, Mr. Herriman and Madame Foster, to me anyway, seemed like the only two happy characters at the end because the others after seeing Mr. Herriman's rap video looked a little...um, how would you describe it?:terrconf:

Embarrassed?:-[
Shocked maybe?:wiltshock:

WWW was one of the first episodes I ever saw and I loved it.

For some reason I like how Bloo goes all wall-eyed when he says "I CAN'T BREEEEEEEEATHE"

Yeah, an awful lot of rap and hip hop music has that effect upon me too.

This was an early episode for me as well, and strangely enough one which I've only seen a couple of times since, so my memories of a lot of the individual gags have sadly faded. I do have the DVD, so I guess I owe it to this episode to dig it out and give it another viewing sometime. Something which I can remember really liking about it was that it gave us a bit of insight into Mr. Herriman and Madame Foster's past growing up together, and of the affection that clearly still exists between them. It's an area which I don't think that the show has really touched upon very often.

Frankie_4_Prez 05-15-2008 07:49 AM

You're right, what I meant to say by "happy" was that everybody got a good laugh at the expense of Herriman, yet nobody really got punished. I was thinking more in terms of Herriman, Mac, Frankie, and Bloo, who should be happy they weren't punished. Also, a lot of IFs were supposedly adopted, which is good for them.

New question

Forgot to ask about this one... can anybody figure out what this is? To me it kinda looks like a pogo-stick or a golf club, though using Herry's head for hitting a ball is kinda odd. Plus Frankie doesn't seem like the golf-playing kind.

It's a golf club; it's very common to put a novelty cover over the business end of a golf club.

For example:

I always saw it as one of those riding stick toys, usually with the head of a horse attached to the end, but occasionally you might see one with a different animal head.

Sometimes on the other end is a tail of sorts, whether it be made of yarn or real horse hair. Although the thing Ed gave Frankie appears to have a handle rather than a tail. So it could very well be a golf club, too. :)

Frankie_4_Prez 05-15-2008 06:36 PM

I'm gonna go with golf club, since the handle is very clear and nobody in their right mind would ride a rabbit, not even Herry. :herriman:

Thanks for further adding evidence with that Yoda cover.

Anyway, according to Bloo Tube, the original video on ViewTube has gotten over 17 million hits.

Prutnick 05-16-2008 03:34 AM

I must say this episode is one of the most hilarious of the show. There are many memorable quotes and expressions (Frankie: (evil smile) Exactly! or, as Hareman throws out her PC ,,My baby"). Also it's one of the least predictable eps, because I usually guess the ending after max. 10-12 minutes. Plus, Haremans rap was funny too.

KazooBloo 12-04-2016 02:18 PM

Heh. I'm trying to stop the stitches as I type this. I remember everyone laughing after he spoke on the intercom. 8D
